Discover the Remarkable Health Benefits of Drinking Hard Seltzer

Over the past few years, hard seltzer, also known as seltzer water or sparkling water, has gained a significant popularity around the world as a refreshing and healthy alternative to soda. It has become a staple beverage choice among younger consumer base for after-work relaxation, special celebrations, and hot summer days. The innovative packaging and low price tag, especially when compared to traditional mixed beverages, are satisfying the millennial’s need with a more convenient and versatile drinking experience.

Hard seltzer is basically an alcoholic, carbonated, and fruit flavoured water. Its pH value is 3 - 4, which means it is slightly acidic. It contains distilled alcohol such as rum and vodka with a hint of natural flavours such as mango, black cherry, etc. It is manufactured by chemically infusing water with carbon dioxide gas under pressure. Unlike tonic water or soda, hard seltzer contains zero sugar, which makes it a healthier alternative.

Health Benefits:

1. Heart health: Hard seltzer contains sodium which has a positive impact on heart health.  Also, it exhibits HDL which is referred as a good cholesterol, owing to the fact that it transfers the LDL cholesterol from arteries to the liver so that it can be destroyed and passed out from the body.

2. Dental health: As per several studies, hard seltzer is much better for your teeth than sugar carbonated drinks.

3. Digestive health: Hard seltzer has the ability to stimulate the nerves that influence swallowing. As a result, it improves swallowing ability in adults, both young & old.

4. Weight loss: Hard seltzer has no sugar content. You can lose weight when you choose to drink a hard seltzer over a beer or alcoholic beverages. Also, it makes you feel fuller when consumed with a meal. It stays for longer time in stomach and makes one feel full longer. Thereby, it promotes weight loss because of less calories intake.

5. Hydration: Seltzer water is an ultimate choice for staying hydrated. It is as hydrating as normal water.

6. Constipation: Constipation is another area in which hard seltzer can have beneficial effects. It has been estimated that more than half of the patients suffering from chronic digestive issues have experiences significant improvements in their symptoms after fifteen days of drinking hard seltzer. So, people facing with digestive problems like stomach pain, indigestion, and irregular bowl movements should drink seltzer water.

Current Market Scenario:

According to a report published by Allied Market Research, the global hard seltzer market size is registered to reach $10.9 billion with a considerable CAGR from 2021 - 2027. North America is currently holding the highest market share, owing to continuous rise in consumer preference for the low alcohol content, gluten free, and low calories beverages.

However, the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic led to hamper the growth of the global hard seltzer market, especially in the initial period. The implementation of global lockdown resulted to temporary closure of the manufacturing facilities and completely disrupted the supply chain. Unavailability of sufficient labour force and difficulty in suppling raw materials were major challenges, due to which, the key manufacturers suspended their product launch and assembling activities in developing countries of the Asia Pacific and LAMEA region. The pandemic also negatively influenced the demand for hard seltzer from the buyer’s end.

Nevertheless, millennials have started to prefer flavoured alcoholic beverages, which in turn, is boosting the demand for hard seltzer to a great extent in developed countries like Japan, Australia, the U.S., and others. For instance, in May 2020, Hallmark announced its own cheers rose seltzer for national wine day. The hard seltzer producing company, the White Claw, launched three flavours of hard seltzer i.e. lemon, watermelon, and tangerine.

Likewise, many enterprises including Mountain Dew, Bud Light, and others have introduced their own lines of products in order to stay competitive in the market. This in turn, is creating a large spectrum of flavours and styles of hard seltzer available in the market for consumers. With this drift on board, the global hard seltzer market is anticipated to gather immense growth prospects in the years to come.

Complete Guide To Chicken Feed Formulation

The common ingredients are whole maize, maize bran, cotton seed cake, soya beans, sunflower and fishmeal (omena). In addition, farmers need to add several feed additives (micronutrients, minerals and vitamins) to ensure their birds have a balanced feed that meets their daily nutrient requirements. Ingredients are cheaply available, especially after the harvesting season. Depending on the cost of ingredients, farmers who make their own feeds at home save between 30 to 50% for every 70kg bag of chicken feed, depending on the source of their raw materials. Due to government regulation, major feed companies have reduced the standard quantity of feed from 70kg to 50kg per bag, but the price of feed still remains almost the same. This means that farmers who are able to make their own feeds make great savings on feeds which take up to 80% of the production costs. To formulate feed, farmers have to use the Pearson Square Method . In this method, the Digestible Crude Protein (DCP) is ...
